Summer Shipping Policy — May through October
To help protect the quality, texture, and appearance of our handcrafted body butters during warmer months, Shea Beck follows a summer shipping schedule from May through October.
During this time:

Summer orders ship Monday–Friday only

No weekend shipping is available

Orders are processed and handled within 1–3 business days

Orders may include heat-protection packaging, such as insulation and ice packs

Summer packaging costs may be reflected in available carrier shipping methods, delivery, and rates

Packages containing body butter may be labeled as Perishable or Heat Sensitive with the carrier to encourage careful handling during transit
We avoid weekend shipping during the warmer months to help reduce the chance of packages sitting in transit or delivery facilities over the weekend in high heat.
For customers located in warmer climates, particularly outside of the Northeast region, we strongly encourage selecting a 3-Day shipping option at checkout whenever available. Faster transit times can help minimize heat exposure and reduce the likelihood of melting or texture changes during shipment.

Processing & Handling Time
All orders are processed within 1–3 business days from the date of purchase. Because our products are handcrafted and prepared with care, processing time allows us to properly pack your order before it is shipped.
Orders are processed Monday–Friday, excluding holidays.
Shipping Methods
We offer reliable shipping options through select carriers, including UPS and USPS, based on the shipping method selected at checkout. Once your order has been processed and shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information.
Shipping rates are based on the selected shipping method, order weight, destination, and any seasonal packaging needs.
For temperature-sensitive products, Shea Beck may label shipments as Perishable or Heat Sensitive when appropriate. While these labels help notify carriers that special care is requested, they do not guarantee temperature-controlled handling or delivery.
For customers in warmer states and regions with consistently high temperatures, we encourage choosing a 3-Day shipping service when available to help reduce transit time and heat exposure.
Domestic Shipping
Shea Beck Body Butter currently ships nationwide within the United States. Delivery times vary based on your location, shipping method selected, carrier service, and weather or carrier delays.
Estimated delivery times begin after your order has been processed and picked up by the carrier.
Customers shipping to hotter regions outside of the Northeast may benefit from selecting expedited shipping options, including 3-Day delivery, to help preserve product texture during transit.
Shipping Rates
Shipping rates are calculated based on the weight of your order, shipping destination, selected carrier, and shipping speed. During warmer months, summer heat-protection packaging may also be reflected in shipping rates.
Available rates will be shown at checkout before your order is finalized.
Order Tracking
Once your order has shipped, you will receive tracking information by email. Please use your tracking number to monitor your package and plan for delivery, especially during warm-weather months.
Shipping Holidays
Shea Beck Body Butter observes major public holidays. Orders placed on holidays or non-business days will begin processing on the next business day.
Lost, Delayed, or Damaged Shipments
While we do our best to provide a smooth shipping experience, carrier delays, weather conditions, and unforeseen issues may occur.

Please note that Shea Beck is not responsible for packages that have been successfully delivered by the carrier but are subsequently lost, stolen, damaged, or exposed to excessive heat after delivery.

IMPORTANT Summer Delivery Reminder
During warm weather, we kindly ask that customers do not leave delivered packages outdoors for a prolonged period of time. Please bring your package indoors as soon as possible after delivery to help prevent extended exposure to direct sunlight and outdoor heat.
Once a package has been marked as delivered by the carrier, responsibility for proper storage and handling transfers to the customer. Shea Beck is not responsible for melting, texture changes, product damage, or other heat-related issues that may occur if a package is left outside, unattended, in a mailbox, on a porch, or otherwise exposed to heat for an extended period after delivery.
Summer Heat & Melting Notice
Shea Beck Body Butter is made with pure natural butters and nourishing oils. Because we do not use water, synthetic fillers, harsh stabilizers, or unnecessary additives, your body butter may soften or melt during warm-weather transit.
This is completely normal and does not affect the quality, benefits, or safety of the product.
To help protect temperature-sensitive products during warmer months, we recommend selecting a 3-Day shipping option at checkout, especially for destinations in hotter regions outside of the Northeast. While no shipping method can completely eliminate heat exposure, faster delivery can help reduce the amount of time products spend in transit.
If your body butter arrives softened or partially melted:

Place the jar in the refrigerator for 15–30 minutes

Allow it to firm before use

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat
Please note: Once melted and re-solidified, the texture may not return to its original whipped consistency. However, the moisturizing and nourishing benefits remain the same.
Shea Beck is not responsible for texture changes, melting, or heat-related product conditions resulting from delayed retrieval after delivery, customer-requested delivery delays, incorrect shipping addresses, or packages left in hot environments after carrier delivery has been completed.
